Mornings
One good thing about quarantine about is mornings. Mornings? Really? Mornings?
Yes! When you have one way hour and 20 minute commute by train, it's nice to not have to get up and rush in the mornings. Sure, I've told myself I was going to get up at my normal time to exercise, practice guitar, clean, or do something productive. Mostly, I just sleep in a little longer, and I've decided to be okay with that...especially because I am not sleeping well. (I'm pretty sure that is a direct result of the overall general feeling of anxiety surrounding Covid-19, although the benefit is that I read....like I read an entire book last night.)
So when I roll out of bed to make breakfast and start working I'm okay with pajama pants and decaf tea in hand as I dive into my day. In fact, I love it. It starts off the day perfectly for me.
But this post isn't actually about me! There is no decaf tea for Calvin. It's ALL the caffeine in ALL the coffee. Calvin's favorite coffee is from a place called Induldge Lititz in Litiz, PA. Every few months we usually head over to have English breakfast at the Bulls Head Public House, to stock up on coffee, and to visit all the cute shops. One bag of coffee usually lasts a few months. In the time of Covid - not so much.
And when he ran out, he had to make due with the instant coffee that has a warning on the bag that it may cause cancer.
Calvin did order more coffee, but underestimated how much he needed. So now he's patiently waiting for more to arrive. In the meanwhile, here are some photos of morning in our house!
